Last updated: 30/12/2025 This Privacy Policy explains how Fixup Technologies Ltd (“Fixup” , “we” , “us” , “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the Fixup website, mobile application, booking systems and related services (together, the “Platform”). Fixup is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data transparently and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • facilitate bookings
  • share job details

6. SHARING DATA WITH OTHER USERS (CORE MARKETPLACE FUNCTION)

6.1 Sharing data with Tradespeople

When a Customer places a booking request, we share relevant information with Tradespeople, including:

  • job address
  • job description
  • photographs or files provided
  • preferred dates or access details This sharing is necessary to enable Tradespeople to assess and perform the requested work.

6.2 Sharing data with Customers

When a booking is accepted, we may share Tradesperson information with Customers, including:

  • business name or trading name
  • contact details
  • service information
  • confirmation that appropriate insurance is held (where applicable) This information is shared to support transparency and facilitate the booking.

7. SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

We may share personal data with trusted third parties where necessary, including:

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe)
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Email, SMS or communications providers
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting)
  • Regulators or authorities where required by law We do not sell personal data.

8. OPTIONAL SHARING WITH INSURABLY LTD (TRADESPEOPLE ONLY)

8.1 Separate data controllers

Insurably Ltd is a separate and independent business from Fixup Technologies Ltd. The two companies are not related entities, other than having a common director. Insurably Ltd acts as an independent data controller in respect of any data it receives.

8.2 Optional opt-in only

Tradespeople may be given the option to opt in to sharing limited contact and business information with Insurably Ltd for the purpose of:

  • receiving insurance-related information
  • renewal reminders
  • insurance advice relevant to their trade This sharing:
  • occurs only if you explicitly opt in
  • is not required to use Fixup
  • can be withdrawn at any time

8.3 Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw consent to Insurably Ltd contact at any time:

  • without penalty
  • without affecting your Fixup account

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary, including:

  • for the duration of your account
  • to manage bookings and disputes
  • to comply with legal and accounting obligations Retention periods vary depending on data type and purpose. Data may be retained longer where required to resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.
